Pro-Vision concentrates on early intervention in children with Disabilities and Developmental Delays. One of the key areas is to identify children with Specific Learning Disabilities related to reading, writing, math, listening, speaking and reasoning, which include: Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia and associated conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and processing disorders. As there are numerous mental processes that affect learning, learning disabilities can vary dramatically as such individualised remedial interventions are designed for each student and they are enabled to improve their reading, writing and comprehension skills.
Keeping in mind the psychology of student community, programmes are designed to help them learn how to learnbased on individual assessment. Both individual and group instructions are practiced. The programmatic design also aims at establishing a positive working relationship with the parents and teachers of the students.
A series of training are organised to Nursery and Primary teachers on SLDs to enable them to identify children with SLDs. Similarly training programmes are organised to NGO staff who have vital role in supporting the poor families and children to enrich their learning skills. Awareness of the parents on SLDs is promoted to public awareness events.
