Education SupportAfter the tsunami, there was increased awakening among the adolescents on the relevance of higher education. It was a good opportunity for Pro-Vision to reach out the adolescents and make an impact in their lives. The ongoing intervention among the tsunami affected children in supporting their higher education has resulted in increase in the number of students completing higher education.

There were organised events such as training, get together and outings centred around:
- Personality development
- Motivation for studies
- Carrier guidance
- Parental support to adolescents
Outcome
- Continuation of higher education
- Improved acceptance of the adolescents by the community
- Improvement in the health and nutritional status of the adolescents and environmental sanitation
- Better behavior changes
- Improved self confidence and self reliance
- More tangible hope for the future
Pro-Vision intends to continue the intervention with more focused attention to selection of adolescents from socially and economically marginalized and vulnerable families and working
with them on a regular basis for a long term.
