- A known research scholar with M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Micro Biology and currently working as Assistant professor in Centre for Marine Science and Technology, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli.
- He has 11 years of teaching 16 years of research experiences. He has undertaken many research studies in areas related to Artemia Culture, Shrimp Hatchery and Micro algal Oil Production with particular reference to the coastal communities.
- He has published 30 research articles in international and 23 in national journals and also authored one and co-authored two research books. He is a life member in different international and national scientific societies.
- He has received an international award from IFS, Sweden and Academic Excellence award from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University,Tirunelveli.
